Workshops facilitating sharing of experiences on public procurement held

  • Niš, 13 December 2021

Within the Swiss PRO Programme, the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) organised two workshops entitled “Sharing Experiences on Planning and Conducting Procurement Not Falling under the Public Procurement Law and Amending Public Procurement Contracts”. The two-day workshops were held in Belgrade on 2-3 December 2021 and on 9-10 December 2021 in Niš.

Over 60 participants from around 30 LSGs had the opportunity to share their experiences and practices in planning and implementing public procurement under the statutory threshold, given the substantial rise of the thresholds below which the procurers are not obligated to apply the Public Procurement Law.

The first day of the workshops was devoted to examples of good practice in planning and implementing procurement below the Public Procurement Law thresholds, while the second day was devoted to sharing experiences and good practices concerning amendments to public procurement contracts, since that the Law has substantially increased the procurers’ possibilities for amending public procurement contracts and governs in detail the reasons for
amending the contracts.

The workshops are realiised within the Programme “Enhancing Good Governance and Social Inclusion for Municipal Development – Swiss PRO", supported by the Government of Switzerland in cooperation with the Government of Serbia, and implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in partnership with the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM).
