Gender equality is one of the three key areas of the Swiss PRO Programme in which the implemented activities are aimed at strengthening the institutional framework for the application of this principle at the local level, as well as at improving local gender equality policies.
The Centre for Social Policy provides support to local self-governments through training, expert and mentoring work, and the Swiss PRO Programme will provide grants for specific initiatives of towns and municipalities which promote gender equality in local communities.
