The online training will be implemented from 9 October to 27 November, and aims to provide support to local self-governments by strengthening their capacity to adopt and implement the good governance principles (efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, accountability, rule of law, participation, equality and non-discrimination) in everyday practice.

The training is implemented as an accredited programme within the Sectoral Programme of Continuing Professional Development of Employees in Local Self-Government Units for 2020, so participants who successfully complete the training will receive certificates.

SCTM is organizing e-training within the project "Enhancing Good Governance at the Local Level", which is implemented through the Programme "Enhancing Good Governance and Social Inclusion for Municipal Development – Swiss PRO", implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in partnership with the SCTM.
