The training delivered on Day 1 will familiarise the participants with the concepts, methods and procedures for realisation of the right of access to information under the Free Access to Information of Public Importance Law, the authorities’ measures and obligations to improve their accountability and transparency, publish information booklets, submit annual reports to the Access to Information Commissioner, their liability for violating the right of access to information and non-compliance with their statutory obligations, and the requirements that have to be fulfilled to limit or deny access to information. Day 1 of the webinar for LSG representatives is in compliance with the programme set out in the 2021 Sectoral Advanced Professional Training of LSG Staff Curriculum, which is part of the 2021 General Training Curriculum for LSG Staff adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Given that the training does not involve testing, the participants who complete the accredited Availability of Information of Public Importance training will be awarded certificates of participation in the programme.
Day 2 of the training, which will be devoted to LSG web presentations, will focus on practical aspects and involve exercises and interactive sessions. It will start from the basics - the format, structure and content of LSG web presentations and also cover the following issues: the legal framework on the design and maintenance of web presentations, institutional support, organisational requirements and human resources; organisation, procedures and focus on results; the purpose and importance of LSG web presentations in the context of good governance and with respect to the existing Portals and one stop shops. Although the training to be held on Day 2 is not envisaged in the Sectoral Curriculum, it will familiarise the participants in greater detail with the important aspects of LSG web presentations.
