Nine new eServices presented to the citizens of Vrnjačka Banja

  • Vrnjačka Banja, 5 November 2021

Citizens of Vrnjačka Banja can now use nine new electronic services developed by the city administration with the support of the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss PRO Programme and in cooperation with the Office for Information Technology and eGovernment.

The Swiss PRO Programme organised an event in Vrnjačka Banja as part of the “Let’s Click Together” campaign. At the city promenade, the benefits of using electronic services at the local level were presented to the citizens, and they were explained how they can access the eGovernment portal, register and start one of the eServices.

During the event, more than 300 citizens of Vrnjačka Banja filled in the survey, both online and through questionnaires. Citizens had the opportunity to get directly acquainted with all the benefits provided by electronic services, but also to assess how informed they are about the available eServices.

"From now on, the citizens will be able to claim services in a faster and easier way, saving time and money, as well as without coming and wasting time at the administrative front office of municipality of Vrnjačka Banja. Electronic government is operating at full capacity, and with our associates from the Swiss PRO Programme we will bring eServices closer also through our media and websites so that citizens can use all eServices available to them in a more efficient way" said Slaviša Paunović, Head of the Municipal Administration and thanked the Government of Switzerland and the Swiss PRO Programme for the opportunity for Vrnjačka Banja to participate in the campaign.

Through the eGovernment portal, residents of Vrnjačka Banja submit a request for salary compensation for maternity leave, compensation for in vitro fertilization or the issuance of location information, report a communal problem or submit petitions to the communal, traffic and environmental inspection. In addition, some of the new eServices available to the residents of Vrnjačka Banja are also to submit an objection to the draft planning document as well as to a decision on the development of a planning document during a public inspection.

"New electronic services have been developed in 35 cities and municipalities in Serbia, and the activities have been carried out in cooperation with the Office for Information Technology and Electronic Administration. Vrnjačka Banja is one of the first municipalities whose nine new eServices made it to the eGovernment portal. Our common goal is to improve the efficiency of the local self-government on the one hand and, on the other hand, citizens satisfaction with the services provided" said Maida Jusufović, Swiss PRO Programme Officer for Good Governance and Gender Equality.

The campaign “Let’s Click Together” is a part of the Programme “Enhancing Good Governance and Social Inclusion for Municipal Development – Swiss PRO“, supported by the Government of Switzerland in cooperation with the Government of Serbia, and implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in partnership with the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM).
